Students from the International Department of Tsinghua High School participated in the 2016 "World Scholars Cup" Beijing Competition and achieved good results

From March 19 to 20, the 2016 World Scholar's Cup (WSC) Beijing competition was held at Dingshi International School in Beijing。Fourteen teams (10 teams from junior Middle School Group and 4 teams from senior middle School Group) participated in the competition and got good results。

In the middle school competition，The International Department of Tsinghua High School has three teams in the top 15，The team of Winnie Xiao, Melody Chen and Richard Lu were placed 4th respectively，The 8th place team of Grace Zhu, Anna Mao and Sabrina Wang and the 11th place team of Shelly Zhao, Nicole Zhang and Jason Liu。

In the high school competition，The International Department of Tsinghua High School has two groups in the top 15 overall scores，Third place Ruofan Wang, Jingjing Gao, Susan Liang team，15th place Joyce Zhang, Sherry Tsui, Sue Yeom team。

Founded in 2006, WSC is a global forum dedicated to attracting and developing future scholars and leaders。The theme of this challenge is "an Imperfect World."。Scholars debate competition and group cooperation intelligence competition are the core forms of the competition, and each team consists of 3 members to participate in four rounds of the competition: team debate, cooperative writing, scholar challenge and scholar question and answer。More than 400 students from 15 schools in Beijing participated in the Beijing competition。

The International Department of Tsinghua High School has set up a WSC academic club guided by teachers, aiming to cultivate students' comprehensive quality and teamwork ability, so that students can show their academic level by participating in WSC。
